TOM. C BRYANT BEGAN UMPIRING SOFTBALL GAMES IN 1974, AFTER PLAYING ORGANIZED BALL FOR MOST OF HIS ADULT LIFE. BEGINNING IN 1975, HE UMPIRED IN KENTUCKY ASA STATE TOURNAMENTS EACH YEAR AND IS A PERMANENT FIXTURE AT THE PROMINENT INVITATION TOURNAMENTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. TOM ALSO WORKS THE NATIONAL REGIONALS EACH YEAR AND HAS WORKED IN THE 7 FOLLOWING NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS – MEN’S MAJOR INDUSTRIAL, WOMEN’S MAJOR, MEN’S MAJOR (TWICE). WOMEN’S CLASS B, MEN’S MAJOR SUPER AND THE MEN’S SUPER NATIONAL, AND RECEIVED AN “EXCELLENT” RATING IN ALL OF THEM. HE IS ALSO ONE OF 30 UMPIRES IN THE COUNTRY TO RECEIVE THE INTERNATIONAL SOFTBALL FEDERATION CERTIFICATE AND IS QUALIFIED TO UMPIRE INTERNATIONAL GAMES.

TOM WAS THE STATE UMPIRE-IN-CHIEF FOR ELEVEN YEARS, 1978-1988, AND IS VERY ADEPT AT CONDUCTING LOCAL UMPIRE CLINICS. HE HAS REPRESENTED THE STATE OF KENTUCKY ADMIRABLY THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER AND IS DRIVEN TO ADDITIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS BY HIS LOVE FOR THE GAME OF SOFTBALL.
