Pitcher, catcher, shortstop, and outfielder, this award presented in recognition of his outstanding ability as a fast pitch softball player. He was respected by softball players for his sportsmanship, character, and his contribution to fast pitch softball.
He was a fast pitch player from 1947 to 1978 from age 18 to 48 total of 31 years. As a teenager (18-19), he played pitcher and shortstop for the "Welders" and was selected to the All-Star team each year. He also pitched for a men's team, The Bennett Hot Shots.
He played baseball in high school and college. Biggie played in the Kentucky State Championship.
