His career spanned thirty-two seasons beginning in 1962 and ending in 1994. He played both first base and catcher.

He played with Mosley Brothers in 1977 when they were the State Runner-up. He was named the most valuable player in the 1982 ASA State Tournament for leading his Mosley Brother/Red Carpet team to the State Championship. He played in every ASA Major State Tournament from the early 1970s through the 1980s.

He was considered a great pure hitter with outstanding power. He posted a lifetime .622 batting average, hit 1496 home runs in his career, and was especially feared by opposing teams in any type of pressure situation.
