Tommy Locke or “Chief” as he was known to his closest friends and players, was a player, sponsor, and manager during his career. As a manager, he was able to assemble teams throughout his career that accomplished many honors and developed a reputation for being competitive and good sportsmen.

At the National ASA Major level his team finished 5th in the Nationals (’94). At the ‘A’ level his teams won the National Regional (’93) and finished 2nd (’91), twice 3rd (‘89 & ’90), 4th (’88). At the state level they were twice State Champions (’91 & ’92), twice State Runners-up (’89 & ’90) and thrice finished 4th (’85, ’86 & ’93) and won numerous invitational tournaments. Chief’s teams won 720 and lost 387 over his career.

He was known by all as a gentleman who never had a bad word for anyone and no one ever had anything but good to say about him. We are proud and privileged to be able to induct Tommy Locke into the Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame and Honor.
