He played for some of the finest teams to have come out of Northern Kentucky, Southern Ohio, the Greater Cincinnati area, and Eastern Kentucky—among them were Gatliff Auto Sales, Carlisle Construction, Newport Merchants, Rolling Hills Lakers, Wilsman Trucking, Ohio Players, Springfield Strohs, and Kens Sport Shop.

In 1967, his Newport Merchants club won the Ohio/Kentucky/Pennsylvania traveling league that was composed of nine different teams including such renowned powerhouses as Jiffy Club and Springfield Pabst.

Among his more notable personal achievements were being chosen All-Tournament in the 1971 traveling league, being named M.V.P. of the 1979 Thoroughbred Classic, and being named the M.V.P. of the WYMT tournament in 1989.
