Steve established an outstanding record playing 28 years for various great teams. Some of his accomplishments include:

-Named all-tournament in ASA State Tournament thrice

-Named all-tournament in ASA Midwest Regional twice

-His team won the ASA Midwest tournament twice

-Named all-tournament in NSA State Tournament five times

-Named MVP in the NSA state tournament thrice

-Named to NSA World Series All-Tournament thrice

-Played on 4 NSA State championship teams

-Teams he played on finished second in NSA “A” World Series, third in the NSA “AA” World Series and third in USSSA Church World

-Played for the David’s Fork Baptist Church team that won the NSA Church World Series.

-Served as ASA and NSA Umpire-in-Chief for 26 years.

-Served as NSA State Umpire-in-Chief for 6 years

-Served as NSA State Umpire-in-Chief for 8 years in the NSA Girl’s Fast Pitch World Series

-Named NSA Northern Zone UIC of the Year

-Recognized 3 times with 110% Award for the NSA Northern Zone as UIC or tournament director

Steve is an extraordinary ambassador for the game of softball whether as a player, umpire, or tournament director.

We are proud and privileged to be able to induct Steve “Apple” Frederick into the Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame.
