JACKIE MC CLOUD ATTAINED PROMINENCE AS A HOME RUN HITTER. HIS SOFTBALL CAREER BEGAN IN 1968 AND ENDED IN 1985, A TOTAL OF 18 YEARS.

DURING THE 18 YEARS HE PLAYED IN STATE TOURNAMENTS - HE WAS ON THE WINNING TEAM SEVEN (7) TIMES, PLAYED IN EIGHT (8) NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS, AND WAS ON THE RUNNER-UP TEAM FOUR (4) TIMES.

HIS CAREER BATTING AVERAGE WAS .650. JACKIE WAS VOTED THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER IN MAJOR COMPETITION IN 1980 AND 1985. HE WAS NAMED TO ALL WORLD TEAMS FOUR (4) TMES: 1979, PINE BLUFF, AR-1982, TN-1984 - MOULTRIE, GA- AND 1985 MONTGOMERY, AL. HE PLAYED WITH SOME OF THE BEST TEAMS IN KENTUCKY, NAMELY: KINDER ELECTRIC, T&K/BASSETT PRODUCTS, AND REVIVAL TABERNACLE. JACKIE'S FAVORITE POSITION WAS THIRD BASE.
